Passionate. Storyteller. Creator.

I’ve had the honor to not only tell Chiefs stories on the field but I’ve also had the privilege to tell their stories OFF the field. I’ve been able to highlight how much community and giving back means to these athletes through storytelling, researching, and also having an internal passion for community!
Community outreach is an instrumental aspect of being an athlete and those stories deserve the same coverage. Telling athlete stories within the community serves as a powerful bridge between sports and society. It influences narratives of inspiration, resilience, and triumph that resonate far beyond the field of play. Athletes, with their unique journeys and experiences, embody values that transcend sport, offering valuable lessons and perspectives that can inspire and unite communities.
I’ve covered events such as Marquez Valdes-Scantling’s softball charity event, Justin Reid’s Cocktails 4 A Cause, and more in Kansas City.
Athletes Needs Their Stories Told on AND off The Field
As a storyteller, I want to not only share a player’s stats and current playing status but I also want to highlight their off-field work. Community outreach and service has always been extremely important to me; especially since if it wasn’t for community — I’m not sure where I would be today.
So many great things are being done in Kansas City by these athletes and I love sharing that part of their story too.

Let’s Talk Off Field
I independently cover Chiefs players off field efforts in the community of Kansas City as a freelancer. Through research I was able to create questions that not only made sense but also helped the athlete give a good answer to further highlight how much community means to them.
